Scimitar Trophy

On Tue 1st July 2008, we launched the Scimitar Trophy. This is a progression from the Scimitar League, to provide our members with enhanced competition preparation.

The Scimitar Trophy is an individual club ranking, the person who finishes top of the ranking at the end of the 12 month period (i.e. after June 2009 event) will be awarded the Trophy, and will have their name engraved on it and hold it for one year.

Points is awarded in the same way as the FIE rankings, in other words using the same scale as A grade events. It is a rolling ranking and a fencer's best six results during the twelve month period will count. The competition takes place on the first Tuesday of each month, starting on 1st July 2008. The format is one round of poules, followed by direct elimination. Please click here for the detailed rules.
